Kirtland Capital Partners Names
Tom Littman President and Senior Managing Partner
and John Nestor Chairman

– Middle-market private equity firm Kirtland Capital Partners (Kirtland) announced today that Tom Littman has been appointed president and senior managing partner. John Nestor will become chairman and continue as senior managing partner and chief executive officer. Jack Turben, who had been chairman, will continue with Kirtland as its founding partner. These changes provide for the future continuity of the firm.

"Tom has played a significant role in our success during the last 15 years, having been involved in fundraising, deal sourcing, due diligence, acquisitions, portfolio management and divestitures," said Nestor. "He's a highly respected private equity professional with exceptional leadership skills who will continue Kirtland's track record of successfully growing our middle market portfolio companies and creating value for our investors."

Littman joined Kirtland in 1995 and has served the firm as a managing partner since 2005. During his tenure, he has been a significant contributor to several successful portfolio investments, including Instron Corporation, R Tape Corporation and Unifrax Corporation. Previously, he worked as an attorney with Jones Day, a world leading, multi-national law firm. He serves as a director of MicroGroup, Inc. and Northwest Mailing Service, Inc. and is a trustee of the Cleveland Zoological Society, Positive Education Program and Achievement Centers for Children. Littman is a graduate of Miami University (Ohio) and earned a law degree from The Ohio State University College of Law.

Prior to joining Kirtland in 1986, Nestor worked at Continental Illinois Bank in a variety of lending positions. He is a member of the advisory board of Kirtland Capital Partners, chairman of SmartSource Computer and Audio Visual Rentals and is a director of PVC Container Corp. Civically, he serves as a trustee of the Kelvin and Eleanor Smith Foundation and Saint Ignatius High School Board of Regents, is on the advisory board of Gordon Square Arts District and is a director for The Diversity Center. He has also been appointed as a member of the Ohio Venture Authority. A graduate of Georgetown University, Nestor also holds an MBA degree from the University of Notre Dame and an MA degree in urban studies from Loyola University in Chicago.
